Hart's Grocery is located in the quaint little village of Boylston, Nova Scotia on Highway 16 overlooking Broad Cove on the Melford Haven River. Started as a mom and pop establishment in the late 40's by Earl and Jean Hart and handed down to their son Gerald Hart in the 1970's. Gerald has expanded what they started and in 1978 added an addition offering the locals and tourists a wider variety of grocery needs, everything from ice cream, snacks, sandwiches and subs, to grocery and household needs. Three years ago when Gerald's niece Diane came on board the little general store went under yet another transformation where the Crow's Nest came to life. Here it all happens on Wednesday's. At lunch we serve up home cooked meals by Mother Mayabelle (Audrey) and then Wednesday evenings the fun begins when the gang gets together and plays some real country music with a few blades of bluegrass thrown in.
So come out and see what's in store! Whether it is for an ice cream cone on a sunny hot summer day enjoying the view, something to satisfy the growlies, needing a home cooked meal or a place to kick back and enjoy some music, drop in and say hi.
